Carniceria Guanajuato opened its doors in 2002 with the mission of bringing the authentic flavors of Mexico to Indianapolis. Since then, we have grown to 4 locations in the city, becoming the community's favorite Mexican restaurant. Our passion for food goes beyond the ingredients; it's a celebration of our roots and traditions.

 

The name Carnicería Guanajuato is no coincidence. We were inspired by the soul and history of the city of Guanajuato, an iconic place in Mexican history. Our logo reflects this connection, featuring the image of the legendary hero Pípila, who bravely fought for freedom during the Mexican War of Independence. Like him, we proudly carry our traditions and flavors, offering an authentically Mexican experience in every bite.

 

Every dish we serve, from street tacos to more elaborate dishes like mole or enchiladas, is prepared with traditional recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. We pride ourselves on using fresh and authentic ingredients, maintaining the essence of Mexican cuisine in each of our creations.
